Welcome
to the Vernon Hills Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center web site. We are
advocates of non-drug and non-surgical treatment. We realize there is a time
when drugs and surgery is warranted, however restoring and maintaining health
through a well balanced diet and an adequate amount of properly executed
exercises should be first and foremost.

Our therapeutic techniques are
designed to restore and maintain optimal functions in all joints of the body.
A joint that is functioning optimally will be pain free and will allow you
to accomplish all your health and physical fitness desires and goals.
Chiropractic Therapy can be helpful in treating low back pain as well as
relieving discomfort and/or musculoskeletal abnormalities associated with a
number of disorders including asthma, carpal tunnel syndrome, menstrual pain,
sinus disorders and migraines.
People of all ages have found relief from pain and dysfunction as well as
improved mobility through chiropractic therapy. Many DC's incorporate
chiropractic therapy into their treatment plans for top athletes, workers with
on-the-job injuries and people with illnesses and injuries such as asthma and
low back pain.
A structural exam begins with an assessment of posture, spine and balance.
A DC will then use his fingers to palpate the back and extremities. He will
then check joints for restriction and/or pain during motion in your muscles,
tendons and ligaments where tenderness can signal a problem. Using a variety
of chiropractic techniques, a DC will apply manual forces to the body's
affected areas to treat structural abnormalities and will then apply specific
corrective forces to relieve joint restriction and misalignments.
